A new fuel distributorship is launched today by Nigel, Mark and Craig Jones of Armstrong Richardson and Derek Noble, formerly of Noble Fuels, which brings together the experience of two local business families who have a long history of working together.

Oil NRG is a privately owned independent company dedicated to providing traditional, flexible personal service.

It is remarkable how business history turns full circle. Brian Jones, the late father of Nigel, Mark and Craig, started a one-tanker oil distributorship in 1966 when he was managing director of Curtis Moody of Great Ayton. Derek succeeded Brian and, together with Jean Noble, transformed it into the Noble Fuels we have known over the last few decades.

Customer choice is being reduced by the rapid consolidation of the competition but Oil NRG, back in the hands of the originating families, will enjoy satisfying the full range of services to domestic, agricultural and industrial customers.

Oil NRG Ltd is based in the new Armstrong Richardson offices on Stokesley Business Park. Overheads and efficiency will be optimized by supplying customers in North Yorkshire, Cleveland and County Durham, direct from the refinery and organized by a small team of experienced and friendly professionals.

The aim of Oil NRG is to give a first class personal service and more freedom of choice in a competitive market from a local independent family business. This is particularly important in this currently difficult period of exceptionally high oil prices.
