Due to expansion, Armstrong Richardson are looking to recruit permanent staff for the following positions:
Stock Controller
This role is critical to the successful operation of the business. You are responsible for ensuring the Wholesale business has all of the stock that customers require at the time they require it.
You will manage stock on a daily basis, producing orders for suppliers in a timely manner. You will take into consideration frequency of collection/delivery from suppliers, lead times, seasonality, promotional calendars and minimum order requirements.
You must maintain the fine balance between having enough stock to fulfil demand whilst keeping stock holding costs down. Re-order levels and economic order quantities are essential in managing this.
You will be required to attend frequent meetings with suppliers alongside the Wholesale Business Manager.
You will be required to produce promotional information for inclusion within our monthly newletter to customers.
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be highly organised, with strong attention to detail. The ideal person for this position will have previous experience of stock control and must understand the importance of this role in the smooth running of the business. A head for numbers and an investigative nature is essential. Accuracy of work is critical. Strong communication skills are important as you will be liaising with senior management, other members of the Buying team as well as all suppliers.
Customer Account Manager
Two experienced, office based Customer Account Managers are needed to join the Wholesale Team in North Yorkshire. Working in conjunction with the Sales Manager and the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing customers whilst also finding and developing new customers.
You will actively target prospective customers; pet shops, pet superstores, farm feed stores and garden centres whilst continuously supporting your existing client base. The ability to manage your time to achieve the balance between maintaining and growing existing accounts whilst at the same time finding new business is critical.
You will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of each of your accounts from taking the order to processing it through our system to the point of delivery. Excellent organisational skills are crucial to being successful in this role.
Working within a stimulating environment amongst a team of young and enthusiastic individuals, you will be given a high level of autonomy and responsibility for sales growth and making things happen.
Desired Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have previous Telesales and Account Management experience. They will be customer focused and have excellent communication skills. They will be confident cold calling and visiting customers face to face. They will be able to work under pressure and to deadlines. They will be team orientated but also able to work independently. They will have good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. They will be motivated, ambitious and results driven.
